Text Box: The new web site is up and running, thanks to Joe Greigo and his masterful computer knowledge. If you'd like to go to the web site and see the July newsletter, it will be up on the site by July 10th, the day of the meeting. Go to (www.skycorralrcclub.com ) A lot of it is still under construction, but Joe is working on it constantly and it will just get better and better. If you have ideas or input of sort you'd like to see on the site, we'd love to hear it. Come to the meeting and share it with all of us. The news letters ( Bull Pen ) will from now on be only on the web site on the first of every month or there abouts. We are no longer going to be mailing them. This will save the club about $300.00 dollars a year in postage. Our objective is to get everyone in the habit of going to the web site when they want to see what’s going on with the club, it's members and when our events and meetings are. Even Sam Piscotta got a computer to keep up the newsletters and what’s going on with our club. So, if he can do it, anyone can!

OK GUYS AND GALS, that’s all for me this month. SEE YA OUT THERE!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE, AND REMEMBER, IF IT'S NOT A WARBIRD, IT'S A TARGET!

 YOUR PRESIDENT,
RON STARK.

Text Box: JULY 2ND 2008,

GREETINGS SKY CORRAL RC CLUB MEMBERS,

It's finally here! The summer flying season has arrived and is in full bloom, and it is HOT! The field is in good shape. Both runways have been resealed and are ready for a full summer of take offs and landings. July brings in our first big club event of the summer. The AMA sanctioned, HIGH PLAINS MASTER SCALE CLASSIC contest is being held at our field on the 19th and 20th of this month. WE NEED PARTICIPATION FROM YOU!!!!!!! It is important that we all, as club members support these events. Bring your semi scale bird or your all scale favorite and join in the fun. There will be prizes and trophies for the winners. You don't have to be an expert pilot to fly in one of these contests. There's a venue for all levels of ability. Even Ken Reid is going to compete and he can't even land yet. For the beginners, there is a sportsman category that I will be flying in and it is a hoot. Very basic maneuvers are required in this venue like landings and takeoffs. Can you do a loop? Ok, you qualify get out there!!! We will also have, intermediate, team and expert classes for all you big time scale builders and pilots. Can anyone beat Brent Cozzolino's absolutely gorgeous Stuka in expert? BE THERE if you want to see. Volunteer help is always appreciated and accepted. Bring chairs, a cooler full of ice-cold water and a desire to Text Box: fly and have a lot of fun. Our next event will be BIG BIRDS on August 23rd and 24th. Bring your big one for this event, IMAA requires a min. 80" wing span or 70" on Biplanes to be legal. This is just a fun fly in, so bring the big ones and join in the fun.

WARBIRDS OVER PUEBLO, our club's marquee event is being held the last weekend of August. Pilots and warbirds from all over the state and surrounding states are coming in to show off and fly their beloved warbirds. There will be BIG IRON in the skies over Pueblo West for three solid days. If you've never been to a Warbird event and like model airplanes of the WW l and WW ll eras, you've got to attend this event. Again, bring chairs and a cooler full of ice-cold water, no beer! Lunch will be served at this event for a small mandatory donation. There will be lots of prizes and drawings. Buy a ticket and win a nice prize. Feeling lucky?

 Ok, on to other things.

Remember, the July club meeting will be at the field on Tuesday evening the 10th. The field will be open for flying until 6:55pm and then close for the meeting. We will reopen at 7:45pm for a nice evening of fun in the skies over Pueblo West. We had our best turnout ever at our last meeting in June. PLEASE! if you are a member of this RC club, you have a responsibility to attend these meetings and participate in our club functions.
